What Will I Be Doing?
As the Front Office Supervisor, you are responsible for the management of all aspects of the Front Office functions, in accordance with hotel standards. We want to ensure service is memorable for all guests and the Front Desk Agents and other staff are prepared and trained to provide such service. On occasion, you will be responsible for working at the Front Desk as business needs require.
What Experience is Needed to Be Successful?
It is best to have a experience in a hotel front office operation for this position as it requires computer skills, critical thinking and problem solving abilities. With the high amount of guest service, it is a requirement to have customer service experience requiring verbal and written communication skills. As a supervisor, you should have at least 2 years experience in a position of responsibility in a hospitality field. Hospitality degree is heavily preferred in lieu of experience.
What are the Physical Requirements of the Job?
Because this position is the representative of the hotel, you must be able to stand continually throughout shift; guide guests, and assist with luggage storage. You must be able to bend, kneel, crouch and sometimes reach overhead during your shift. Lifting or carrying heavy items is typically not required.
