What Will I Be Doing?
Responsible for ensuring that the property is in excellent condition for guest and associates. Under the direction of the General Manager, the Chief Engineer, you would be responsible for maintaining all equipment, systems and building components, including, but not limited to, mechanical and electrical systems, pumps, HVAC, refrigeration, plumbing, locks, furniture, paint, wall coverings, tile and other equipment.
What Experience is Needed to Be Successful?
Four or more years in a commercial high-rise, condo, hotel or resort operation.HVACR or EPA Universal certification preferred.Possess strong working knowledge of heating, cooling, and pumping systems.Possess strong plumbing knowledge.Must be very well versed in electrical applications and safety.Should have a working knowledge of appliances.Must have general maintenance experience with general paint and carpentry.Must be able to multi-task with jobs, radio and guests.Must be able to interpret a variety of instructions.
What are the Physical Requirements of the Job?
Majority of working hours are outside. Position requires frequent standing, occasional kneeling and occasional climbing on ladders. Position requires frequent walking, carrying and lifting of items weighing up to 65 pounds. Hazards of work are hazardous pool chemicals, heavy industrial machinery, electrical systems. Work in a busy environment with frequent guests and members.
