What Will I Be Doing?
You will exhibit your creative baking and decorating talents by personally performing tasks while supporting the staff in preparing quality and consistent pastries for all areas. You will work to continually improve guest and employee satisfaction while maintaining the operating budget. You will also support developing and training team to improve results while maintaining standards. Must ensure sanitation and food standards are achieved. You will be required to work a team as a professional and provide seamless service. You must have the ability to deliver a consistent, superior, quality bakery product and service. You must display discipline with hard work, the kind of focused effort that shows self-control. Create a positive safe work environment that shows respect and courtesy to all employees and members. Consistently exceed the expectations of St. Joe Club & Resorts as it applies people, product and profit. To display an exceptional leadership role through passion and inspiration that will take the team to the next level of excellence.
What Experience is Needed to Be Successful?
You should have a High school diploma or GED; 3 years experience in the culinary, food and beverage, or related professional area OR 2-year degree from an accredited university in Culinary Arts, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major; 1 year experience in the culinary, food and beverage, or related professional area. You must have a pleasant and courteous manner as it is essential to employees, service staff and members. Always be respectful to all the team. You must have attention to detail and be self-disciplined with a passion and desire to create excellent service on a consistent basis. Flexible hours are required. You may be required to work some weekends and most holidays. You will need to have a positive attitude that exercises service from the heart, a commitment to servicing the team and displaying an optimistic attitude to doing whatever it takes to make our guest, members and staff happy.
What are the Physical Requirements of the Job?
For this position, you will work in the noise, heat and cold temperatures of the stove/oven or cooler/freezer. You will be required to stand for your shift that may last 8-12 hours. It also requires regular lifting of up to 50 lbs, prolonged attention tickets, orders, and regular walking, kneeling, bending and stooping. You may occasionally need to climb stairs and walk longer distances during events.
