What Will I Be Doing?
As a Pro Shop attendant, you will be the face and voice for members and guests coming to play the course. You will help with the booking of tee times, checking in for their round, answering questions, tidying and restocking the supplies and retail items for the Pro Shop. Ensures guest are attended to in a prompt, efficient and personalized manner. At times, you will be tasked with ordering and receiving deliveries for the Club. You may have the opportunity to assist a member or guest with a challenge, and report those concerns to the manager. Processing member and guest transactions with the POS systems.
What Experience is Needed to Be Successful?
To be successful, you need to enjoy meeting new people and helping people in person and over the phone. Most of the work will be on a computer for the reservations and pro-shop sales so computer experience is necessary. It is ideal to have face-to-face customer service experience, particularly in retail, to help. Even if you do not understand golf, it is OK. It is more important to enjoy helping people and getting them ready for their round of golf.
What are the Physical Requirements of the Job?
In this position, you will spend a large portion of your shift standing and assisting members and guest. You will need to be able to also assist guests over the phone. During the day, you will need to walk around the shop and be able to bend, stoop, kneel, carry to freshen and restock the merchandise. Most of the shift will be indoors, but you may occasionally have to go outdoors for assisting the members.
