What Will I Be Doing?
Responsible for ensuring that the property is in excellent condition for guest and associates. Under the direction of the General Manager, the Facilities Manager, you would be responsible for maintaining all equipment, systems and building components, including, but not limited to, mechanical and electrical systems, pumps, HVAC, refrigeration, plumbing, locks, furniture, paint, wall coverings, tile and other equipment. As room repairs are needed, you will be expected to properly make repairs to sheetrock on the walls and ceilings. Work must be completed in a professional manner. Will be expected to work some day and some evenings shifts as needed for projects and business needs.
What Experience is Needed to Be Successful?
It is ideal for you to have experience in a commercial high-rise, condo, hotel or resort operation and possess strong working knowledge of heating, cooling, and pumping systems. Regardless of your experience, you must be very well versed in electrical applications and safety, should have a working knowledge of appliances. At a minimum, you must have general maintenance experience with experience in interior / exterior painting, power washing and other hand tools. It is imperative that you are able to multi-task with jobs and communicate on radio and guests and utilize technology to track project assignments and completions.
What are the Physical Requirements of the Job?
Majority of working hours are inside with some outside work. Position requires frequent standing, occasional kneeling and occasional climbing on ladders. Position requires frequent walking, carrying and lifting of items weighing up to 65 pounds. Hazards of work are hazardous pool chemicals, heavy industrial machinery, electrical systems. Work in a busy environment with frequent guests and members.
