What Will I Be Doing?
As a Common Area Attendant you are responsible for the cleaning and upkeep of all public spaces and areas within and outside of the hotel in line with the SJCR Standards. You help to ensure that all public areas present the highest cleanliness for the ultra-luxury property at The Pearl Hotel. Duties for cleanliness includes cleaning public space areas (mopping, dusting, sweeping, and cleaning of lobby bathrooms and areas), Spa Pearl. If needed for other areas, you will be asked to assist in other areas of housekeeping. As a member of the St. Joe Club & Resorts team, you are a valuable part of our guest experience so it is important that you are able to answer and assist guests during your shifts.
What Experience is Needed to Be Successful?
To be successful, you must have extreme attention to detail. It is not necessary that you have worked in housekeeping previously as you will be provided a checklist and timing of area completion. It most important that you take pride in your work and love to see the results with a pristine area. You must be able to complete tasks with moderate to minimal supervision.
What are the Physical Requirements of the Job?
You must be able to bend, stoop, walk, push, pull, kneel, crouch, squat, reach overhead and stand for the 8-9 hour shift. Some lifting required to, but will most be 25 lbs and occasionally up to 50 lbs. As a cleaner, you will be exposed to cleaning chemicals.
