    What Will I Be Doing?

    A year-round salary position working approximately 50-60 hours per week during season (March 1 – October 31) and 40-50 hours per week in the off-season (November 1 – February 28). You will be taught how to manage the entire golf operation. You are responsible for training and supervising golf shop employees, organizing and operating men’s and women’s golf tournaments, golf instruction, and club fitting for the membership. In addition, you will be responsible for making the weekly golf staff schedule, playing golf with the membership, leading and supporting the staff, and providing outstanding service to members and guests. From a merchandising standpoint, you will assist the Merchandise Coordinator with ordering all Hard Goods. You will also assist the Director of Golf and adhere to the hard goods budget when purchasing all golf equipment categories including golf clubs, demo and club-fitting programs, golf balls, golf gloves, shoes, golf bags, and any golf shop supplies.

    What Experience is Needed to Be Successful?

    To be successful in this position, it is best to have a degree in Sports Management, preferably in Professional Golf Management. You should have experience in leading golf operations, preferably with a private club environment. Experience in Microsoft Office systems(Outlook, Word, Excel) and Golf Genius and/or Jonas is ideal.

    What are the Physical Requirements of the Job?

    You will be on your feet about 90% of your time at work. You will be out in the sun and heat a majority of the day. The other danger to our workers is nature and all the elements it has such as alligators, snakes, and rough terrain. The physical requirements include lifting up to 50 lbs., walking, bending, stooping, kneeling, carrying. It is a job that requires significant verbal and written communication skills with membership, guests and employees.
