What Will I Be Doing?
As Nail Technician, you will conduct individual treatments for guests and are responsible for ensuring positive and friendly guest relations during the service. It is important that you stay up with current trends in the industry so you can provide the most appropriate service for the guest. You may also be able to upsell products to guests. As you are responsible for your area, you must keep it clean and properly stocked for services. Spa Technicians are paid at minimum wage during their service times and earn percentages of the service fee and the gratuities earned.
What Experience is Needed to Be Successful?
We require that all Nail Technicians hold a current certification in the State of Florida. The level of service expected is higher than most spas so it is important to have some experience in a luxury spa or resort environment. You should enjoy talking to people (if needed) while providing nail services and paying close attention to what you are doing. Time management is important so as to not go over and cause an issue for other scheduled appointments.
What are the Physical Requirements of the Job?
In this position, you spend much of the time sitting down. You may be required to kneel, bend, stoop to prepare your station and refill items needed for service. The items for lifting should not regularly exceed 25 lbs.
