Reports to: Director of Sales
To sell, coordinate, and service all weddings with a guest count less than 75 guests, acting as wedding primary contact from start to finish of each event, to ensure complete customer satisfaction. Additionally responsible for sales and service of wedding related special events as well as weddings over Hotel identified need periods (weddings of any size that fall mid-week or on Sundays). Coordination of service needs to the Operations and Culinary/Banquets Team is critical for the success of the position. The ability to balance what the client wants with what is best for the property and work together in a team atmosphere driving revenues for the resort is also vitally important. Requirements of the position include: a thorough knowledge of the practices and procedures of the catering, food & beverage, and hospitality professions; effective communication skills, and the ability to negotiate, influence and sell WaterColor event space and services to weddings and wedding related events.
Knowledge/Education: Bachelor’s degree in Hotel or Business Management, or equivalent experience required. Must be knowledgeable of operations in all other areas of the resort, but particularly in the kitchen, front office, restaurants, accounting, clubs, and golf. Must be computer literate. Must be skilled in accepted business presentation formats.
Experience: Minimum 1 -2 years experience in Convention Services, Banquet, Hotel Sales, Marketing, ; OR equivalent education and experience.
