    Wage Rate:  $10.00/hr + tips
    Position Type:  Seasonal
    Position Status:  Full Time
    Availability:  Early morning and late afternoon (6:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m.).  Must be available to work weekends and holidays.

    **This position works outdoors in the extreme outdoor conditions.  Must be able to withstand this environment and able to lift 50+ lbs.  Guest service is required and must be able to communicate professionally**

    Primary Responsibility

    Assist all guests at Pool/Beach facilities with towels, seating, loans/rentals and requests courteously and efficiently, according to standards. Maintain the cleanliness and organization of all supplies, equipment and work areas and ensure guest safety and enjoyment. Assist other departments when needed.

     

    Responsibilities

     

    • Maintain complete knowledge of and comply with all departmental policies/service procedures/standards.
    • Maintain complete knowledge of correct maintenance and use of equipment. Use equipment only as intended.
    • Anticipate guests’ needs, respond promptly and acknowledge all guests, however busy and whatever time of day.
    • Maintain positive guest relations at all times.
    • Resolve guest complaints, ensuring guest satisfaction.
    • Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation and organization of assigned work areas.
    • Maintain complete knowledge of:
      1. Daily house count, VIPs in-house, arrivals/departures.
      2. Scheduled group activities and locations within all hotel facilities and services.
      3. Hours of operation of each outlet.
      4. All equipment and services available for guests at the Pool/Beach facility.
      5. All safety and sanitation regulations for Pool/Beach facility.
    • Obtain clean towels from Laundry and transport to Pool/Beach; fold and stack towels.
    • Open, set up and organize beach chair sets.
    • Check supply and equipment levels; report shortages to Supervisor.
    • Clean/prepare the pool deck and respective equipment.
    • Set up Pool/Beach furniture, cabanas, towels, and umbrellas.
    • Rake the beach; sweep sand off all walkways.
    • Set up the beach area with designated furniture, signs and water sports equipment.
    • Remove trash and debris from all work areas and Pool/Beach facility.
    • Sweep, wash down, mop and clean the pool deck; use squeegee to dry decks.
    • Check pool restrooms, showers and locker areas throughout the shift for supply levels, cleanliness and working order; rectify any deficiencies and clean sections as assigned with proper chemicals, tools and equipment.
    • Greet guests; acknowledge guests.
    • Monitor all guest activity in assigned work area; be alert to any sign of trouble. Ensure safety of guests and enforcement of pool rules/beach precautions according to department standards.
    • Monitor beach warning signs and change according to weather conditions.
    • Utilize first aid and lifesaving procedures when situations demand such.
    • Distribute and retrieve towels for guests. Collect dirty towels left on chairs and in pool/beach areas.
    • Distribute recreational equipment and issue rental equipment to guests upon request. Monitor use, return and condition of equipment.
    • Clean and store water gear after returned by guests.
    • Remove debris, empty ashtrays and clean furniture.
    • Report any unauthorized persons in the Pool/Beach areas to the supervisor.
    • Complete closing duties and paperwork.
    • Clean and return recreational/rental equipment to proper storage. 
    • Stack and align lounge chairs to specified position/location.
    • Set up pool closed sign
    • Return all equipment and supplies to proper areas.
    • Clean designated equipment and sections.
    • Restock items for next shift.
    • Secure storage areas.
    • Return all dirty towels to Laundry.
