Availability:  Open.  Must be available to work weekends and holidays


Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs, able to withstand being on feet most of the day and withstand the extreme temperatures of the seasons, especially summer and winter.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain complete knowledge of and comply with all departmental policies/service procedures/standards.
  • Anticipate guests’ needs, respond promptly and acknowledge all guests, however busy and whatever time of day.
  • Maintain positive guest relations at all times.
  • Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation and organization of assigned work areas.
  • Moving heavy towel bins up and down the elevators.
  • Distributing towels to and from guest.
  • Operating a POS system for retail.
  • Learn Visual One for chair reservations.
  • Knowledgeable/ able to schedule Bonfire reservations.
  • Maintain complete knowledge of:
    • All resort facilities/services, hours of operation.
    • Know beach layout and section locations.
    • Chair availability for any given day.
    • Restricted dates and rates.
  • Access all functions of computer system.
  • Answer telephone calls within 3 rings, using correct salutations and professional telephone etiquette.
  • Process all reservation requests, changes and cancellations received by phone or in person.
  • Ascertain callers' needs through open-ended questions.
  • Obtain all designated information to book a reservation.
  • Accommodate special requests and designate such in system.
  • Access guest history records to best service guests; maintain accurate information in guest history files.
  • Maximize rate for all reservations.
  • Verify availability. Suggest alternate sections for sold-out sections.
  • Explain cancellation policies to guests.
  • Set up proper billing accounts and process advance deposits.
  • Verify all reservation information with caller/guest to ensure accuracy.
  • Input all manual reservations into the system.
